It has been another fantastic day at the Nordic Championships, filled with impressive performances, close competition and unforgettable championship moments.
The day began strongly with excellent five-gait performances. In the F1 Junior preliminary round, Freja Hesselbjerg and Tóra fra Almindingen moved into the lead with a score of 6.33.
Denmark also made an impressive start in the F1 Senior preliminary round, currently holding all three top positions. Leading the competition are Rasmus Møller Jensen and Harpa frá Höskuldsstöðum with a score of 7.37.
In the T2 Young Riders preliminary round, Olivia Kasperczyk and Tengill frá Hofi took the lead after receiving a score of 7.13.
The P1 250-metre pace race also delivered plenty of speed and excitement. The current leaders are:
Junior
Vera Elgholm and Dreki från Lind – 24.91 seconds
Young Riders
Dagur Sigurðarson and Galbjartur frá Hóli – 23.93 seconds
Senior
Kristján Árni Birgisson and Krafla frá Syðri-Rauðalæk – 22.94 seconds
Later in the day, Michelle Edvall Karlsson and Kinnungur frá Torfunesi moved into first place in the V1 Junior preliminary round with a score of 6.80.
An Incredible Gæðingakeppni Victory
Dyggur från Stummelbol and Elísabet Líf Sigvaldadóttir were crowned Nordic Champions in Gæðingakeppni Teenagers today.
It was a truly remarkable achievement by Elísabet, who borrowed Dyggur and had ridden him for only five days before the Nordic Championships. Despite their short time together, the pair delivered a fantastic performance and rode home the gold.

Swedish Medal Sweep in A-flokk Young Riders
Bjartur frá Strandarhjaleigu and Alfons Bergqvist are the new Nordic Champions in A-flokk Young Riders!
The final was an absolute nail-biter, with the championship remaining undecided until the very end. Alfons and Bjartur ultimately secured the gold medal, leading a complete Swedish sweep of the podium.
Alice Ekman and Karri frá Gauksmýri claimed the silver medal, while Ester Östberg and Hátindur frá Álfhólum took home the bronze.
