The supporters have begun to make themselves heard, the exhibitors have opened their shops and the food vendors are serving plenty of delicious food. There is a fantastic atmosphere around the competition grounds – and the championships are off to a brilliant start!
Tuesday has been filled with Gæðingakeppni, and throughout the day we have seen some impressive horse-and-rider combinations on the oval track.
First up were all the talented teenagers in GDT, where it was incredibly close at the top. So close, in fact, that Iceland and Sweden share first place after the preliminary round!

• Nike Jakobsson and Sleipnir frá Ósi, Sweden
The GDB preliminary round is also complete. Christina Lund and Lukku-Blesi frá Selfossi currently lead the class with a score of 8.74.
In GDYB, Jón Ársæll Bergmann and Viskusteinn frá Íbishóli top the results after the preliminary round with a score of 8.68.
Már frá Rauðalæk and Olivia Kasperczyk lead GDYA after the preliminary round with a score of 8.42.
